Yes, another wet day down here in Austin and I survived it. This time around the buses ran on time and we actually ended up early to the convention center. The rain came and went all day but it did not slow me down from catching some awesome panels. Friday was more higher level talk in working and in design. So Saturday I tried to hit up more technical workshops. Some worked and some failed. But I bounced where I needed to bounce and got some tasty amenities along the way. SXSW 2011 Wrap Up: Bring The Noise
I’m a week removed from SXSW and I finally recovered. The sickness stayed over in my body for the end of my music portion of the trip. To learn more about that, head over to my music site, http://h0key.net. I’ve had plenty of time to reflect on my interactive experience and would like to sum up the conference and what I took away from it. For all of the stimulating action that took place in,out, and around the conference the message for me was: Start cultivating the white noise.
SXSW Day 05: It’s Been A Long Time Coming
Alrighty, I’m finally back home and recovering after a marathon of tech and music that was SXSW. I’m sitting down sipping some hot tea and getting ready for a night time cold and flu Alka Seltzer bath. That’s right, I brought home lots of tech info and a cold from beautiful Austin, Texas. Hey, if you are gonna do it, you gotta go hard or not at all. At any rate I have one more day of summaries to dispatch before I start something new this year. I will go over each talk I went to into a little more depth, more for the benefit of myself more than anything else, as well as give proper respect to the .
Spring Cleaning! 2010 Edition
Now that I’ve fully recovered from SXSW, it’s high time I start cleaning up. The schwag mountain spilled over and caused some damage but I got it under control. So now it’s time to spring clean my workflow and social media usage. I subscribe to this, follow that, or just end up trying to fill up big holes in my life with tiny sand distractions that it gets way too overwhelming, as I’m sure others can identify. Once I realize that, then I know it’s time to pare down my workflow and regroup. It’s not a perfect system, but when it comes time for a change I’m ready to make it. So how am I doing this? Glad you asked.
SXSW Day 4: Full Day Fanatacism
Okay, so I kicked this one off a little later than usaul, but that’s because I logged in the fullest day so far here at SXSW. The official tally is 6 panels, 2 happy hours, and 1 wet party. I’m a little under the weather this morning but that’s due to the massive amount of stuff that I and my lovely girlfriend did and the rain storm that hit us last night. Don’t fret, however, we are taking it easy this morning and heading back down to the convention center to try and make a couple of more panels and keynotes on the last day of the Interactive portion of SXSW. There’s much to go over, so I’ll try to make it condensed.
